E-commerce Development

A storefront sells the first order. A commerce system earns the second one.

Is this you?

  • Your platform’s checkout is costing you orders you can measure.
  • Stock, pricing or orders are reconciled by hand between systems.
  • You sell across borders and tax, currency or shipping rules are fighting you.
  • You need B2B behaviour — accounts, approved pricing, purchase orders.

If more than one of those is true, the problem is usually the system around the work rather than the people doing it.

What we build

Stores on WooCommerce, Shopify or a headless stack, with payments, tax, shipping and product management configured for the markets you actually sell into.

The part most stores miss

Checkout is the middle of the journey, not the end. We connect the store to your CRM, lifecycle email, support system and analytics, so repeat purchase becomes a system instead of a hope.

Platform first, build second

Most stores do not need a custom platform. They need the right platform configured properly and connected to the systems behind it. We work with hosted platforms, with WooCommerce, and with custom builds where the catalogue or pricing logic genuinely breaks what products can do.

The honest version: if a standard platform fits, use it. Custom commerce is for configurable products, contract pricing, complex B2B approval flows, or catalogues that standard search cannot handle.

What we build

  • Storefronts on hosted platforms and on WooCommerce
  • Custom commerce where catalogue or pricing rules demand it
  • B2B commerce — account pricing, credit terms, purchase orders, approvals
  • Payment, tax and shipping integration across multiple markets
  • Inventory and order synchronisation with ERP or warehouse systems
  • Customer accounts, order history, returns and self-service

The checkout is the product

Most lost revenue in commerce is lost between the basket and the confirmation. We instrument the funnel, find where it leaks, and fix the leak — guest checkout, address handling, payment method coverage for the market, error states that tell the truth, and a mobile checkout that works with one thumb on a bad connection.

After the sale

Abandoned basket recovery, order and delivery notifications, review requests, and replenishment prompts are built as part of the store rather than bolted on. They are usually the highest-return automation an online seller can run.

How the work runs

01 — Platform recommendation

Written, with costs, before anything is built.

02 — Catalogue and data

Products, variants, pricing rules and tax treatment modelled and imported cleanly.

03 — Build

Storefront, checkout, accounts and the integrations that matter.

04 — Payments and logistics

Gateways, tax, shipping rates and labels, tested against real orders.

05 — Launch

Redirects from the old store, analytics and commerce tracking verified, soft launch, then full.

06 — Optimisation

Funnel measurement and iteration, which is where the return actually comes from.

What it costs

Commerce cost is driven by catalogue complexity and integration count far more than by design. A thousand simple products cost less to build than fifty configurable ones.

What moves the number

  • Catalogue size and how configurable the products are
  • Pricing rules — contract, tiered, per-customer, per-market
  • Payment, tax and shipping across how many markets
  • ERP, inventory or accounting integration
  • B2B requirements such as approvals and credit terms
  • Migration of existing products, customers and order history

Every proposal is a fixed price against a written scope. We do not quote by the hour for work we have specified.

Common questions

WooCommerce, Shopify or custom?

Shopify for speed and operational simplicity; WooCommerce for control and content depth; headless when catalogue scale or a custom purchase flow demands it.

Can you migrate our existing store?

Yes, including products, customers, order history and URLs. Redirects are mapped before launch so existing search positions carry over.

Do you handle multi-currency and multi-market?

Yes — pricing, tax rules, shipping zones and localised content are part of the build where required.

Hosted platform or WooCommerce?

Hosted platforms cost more monthly and less in maintenance, and they handle payment compliance for you. WooCommerce costs less monthly and more in attention, and gives you more control. Catalogue complexity and how much custom logic you need usually decides it.

How do we sell into several countries?

Currency, tax treatment, payment methods and shipping rules per market, plus a URL structure that lets each market rank in its own search results. Decided at architecture, not retrofitted.

Do you handle PCI compliance?

Card data goes to the payment provider, never to your server, which keeps you in the simplest compliance bracket. We build it that way by default.
